The Vilnius Yiddish Institute’s Staff Members gave radio interview

The Vilnius Yiddish Institute’s Staff Members, Assistant Director Ms Ruta Puisyte and Lecturer Dr. Egle Bendikaite gave an interview to the Lithuanian National Radio. The Radio journalist Ms Olga Ugriumova (on left in the photo) specializes on broadcasting events related to the Jewish and other national minorities of Lithuania. Ms Puisyte and Dr. Bendikaite introduced the Educational Project "Lessons on anti-Semitism: Old and New Prejudices". The Project is implemented under auspices of the OSCE/ODIHR and the Anne Frank House. The VYI's Staff Members have organized and lectured at the teacher training seminars in several towns of Lithuania. Started in 2005 the Project aims to provide Lithuanian secondary schools with the teaching tools on history of Jews in Europe and anti-Semitism, as well as other forms of discrimination. The Educational Material Set comprises of three exercise books accompanied by Teachers Guide and should serve as supplementary material for the secondary education in Lithuania.
